‘Jermain Defoe – The Big Interview’

Host Ricky Sacks and Lee McQueen were joined by Tottenham Hotspur legend Jermain Defoe in this feature special of Last Word On Spurs which was recorded live at Hotspur Way.

Jermain has recently returned to the club as a member of our Academy coaching staff and Club Ambassador. We discuss with Jermain the transition from a player to member of the coaching staff, where he will work closely alongside our existing coaching team to lend his vast experience and knowledge to young players across the Under-17 to Under-21 age categories.

Along with also discussing some of his favourite moment’s in a Spurs shirt, where Jermain scored 143 goals in 363 appearances in our colours over two spells between 2004 and 2014, making him the sixth-highest goalscorer in our history.

Already part of the fabric of our Club thanks to his work on and off the pitch during his previous spells with us, we discuss what it means to Jermain to be able to give back to the club in the form of the Spurs foundation along with his personal charity The Jermain Defoe Foundation. Along with also assuming the position of Club Ambassador as part of his new role, which will see Jermain once again assist with the Club’s work in our community, engage with our global fanbase and support Club partners.

We would again like to take this opportunity to thank Jermain and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club personally for making this interview possible and wish all of our contributors, viewers and listeners a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
